Cool Breezes

drawn by Isabella Ledo
What inspired me to do this drawing was the beautiful trees and cool breezes that I am experiencing on my trip to Monterey, CA. Breezes and leaves swirling aroound us like the thoughts that blow around creating a whirlwind of thoughts in our mind. It can take over our whole body and its reactions to certain things/events. And soon enough, overtakes our lives. I dunno. This is all sort of inspiring to me. And that lead to this piece of work!

I love my I pad! And all electronics, of course they are leading our generation of kids absolutely no where! In fact our generation is going down!  But anyway I love electronics!  One of my favorite apps is Draw Something!  I am sure you all have heard of it!  You play with one other person, you get one drawing task and once you draw that one item, it is sent to the opposite player! they then have to guess what the drawing is!  Here is when I was playing my friend Jax Jensen, well actually I was playing his little brother!  Anyway I had to draw Zelda, which is a older video game and the main character from the video game goes by the name, Link!  So to describe Zelda I drew Link!  The I pad is hard to draw on though, mainly because I have to use a finger!  It is still a fun, free game!  I thought I would share my little Link drawing, to show/tell you all that I am a person that is quite fond of a lot of video games!

Doodle, Doodle, Doodle!!

Ahhhh my fave!!!

Dontcha just love summer?! Its the perfect time to just sit back, relax, and enjoy some free time after being tied down to school and tons of work! Today, I decided to get a cup of shaved ice from Kona Ice(the ice cream truck of my neighborhood) and doodle a bit! In my free time when I'm bored or just sitting on the couch watching TV, I may grab whatever scratch piece of paper and anything fit for writing and just doodle random things!! In fact, at school, if I ever happened to get really bored or start to zone out, I just doodle on whatever I'm reading or writing on! So I brought you guys something I drew! Nothing "spectacular" but it's cute and totally me!;)

Drawn by Paige Padilla
Paige here!  So I figured now would be the perfect time to tell you all about myself!  So my name is Paige Elizabeth Padilla!  I am 12 years old and I am the youngest of three children!  My mother's name is Colleen, my father's name is Patrick, I have two older brothers both in high school!  My brothers names are Michael and Colin!  I am the jock of the family, I play volleyball and softball, that is why I drew a picture of a volleyball with a cool unique design on the outline of the volleyball!  I have a very large family!
Like I said earlier, I am a volleyball player!  I am outside hitter, but I am training to be a libero!  Interesting fact, libero means free in Italian, we have to be low to the ground in back row and be able to cover a lot of ground, keeping the ball from hitting the floor (meaning lots of diving!).  I have done a lot of camps in fact I just finished a summer camp, three days of 8-9 hours of volleyball each day! and boy am i tired and I have a bunch of bruises!  My first club team was actually just this last year, Club Arrowhead 12's team!  Our name was FIRE!  I love volleyball!  I also love softball I have played on many teams! I have played since I was very young! I n the past I have played many positions but my main positions is first base and center field!  Sports are my life!
My dream is two one day go to ASU and play on both the volleyball and softball team, possibly and hopefully on scholarship!  I also want to travel the world with my best friend Isabella!

A Bit About Isabella

drawn by Isabella Ledo
Hey everybody! Isabella here again! Today, I would like to tell about myself a little bit. I am 12 years old and of course love to draw, write prose and poetry, and cook! Well I love to bake more than anything! Especially when I have the opportunity to bake with Paige. I am a pretty thoughtful girl I'd say. I often drift off into a land of my own...   Think of what if moments, the past, the future, put myself into other people's shoes. When I was 9 years old, my father passed away from cancer. Going through that experience was heartbreaking but definitely made me mentally stronger. I am blessed to have an amazing family and an amazing friend to help me through it! Thank you Paige. To be honest, I have no clue to what I want to be when I'm older but know for a fact that I want to be a part time author. I m also very interested in psychology! One major goal in life for me though, is to travel the world and do EVERYTHING crazy! Well there you go! A little bit of information about yours truly.

Drawn by Paige Padilla!
As you can see above, there is a drawing of a shamrock.  I drew this shamrock to tell about my ancestry and where I came from!  I am Irish, well a least half Irish, see my moms family is Irish and my dad's family is Mexican so I have quite a diverse family back round!  This shamrock is drawn differently than most people draw a shamrock making it unique like the Irish people and Ireland!  I drew it this way to tell people in a different way than text, that the Irish people are unique, they are different, more than other  people!  We are loud, disruptive, weird, we are different in general!  Now some of those things I stated about the Irish sound like bad things, but if you ask me they sound exactly like me and my family!  I am proud to be Irish!  Everyone needs to embrace their heritage, like Isabella and I do!

I would write more but I have volleyball in the morning, sorry!  The good thing is for me that I get Chick-fil-a in the morning!  Talk to you all again soon!

The Dream of Travel

Drawn by Isabella Ledo
Paige and I share one specific dream in particularly the dream of travel. To travel EVERYWHERE! To visit every nook and cranny of our magnificent Earth. It is the desire for adventure and something new that claws at us. To explore the world and all of its most intriguing destinations would just be the perfect thing for us. And the only thing we would need to pack would be our sketchbooks, pencils, and prismacolors!

More than any other place, we want to go visit Florence, Italy with its fresh smells and vineyards, gorgeous architecture, and GELATO!! Paige has already beat me to it when she went with her family a couple years ago, but it would be absolutely amazing if we were able to visit Italy with each other!

That's only one of the many places I would love to go though. Southern Brazil comes close second on my list. I would die if someone came up to me right this very second offering a free trip there because I am just that much into wanting to go there! I love how tropical it is and am fascinated with its wildlife. If you lived in Arizona, you would feel the same way! Also, the beaches there are beautiful and so much fun!

A Special Friendship

Drawn by Paige Padilla!
This is Paige here to say that friendship is one of the most important things in life, it is a splendid thing!  Sure you will always have friends some will stay for a while then they eventually go, but you only get one best friend in a life time!  Best friends will always be there for you!  So as you can see there is a picture of a girl above which I drew, this beautiful girl that is so amazing is my best friend!  The one and only  Isabella Ledo, my partner in this blog!  Even though I am twelve I understand that I will have plenty of friends in my life, but Isabella will always be my best Friend and I couldn't ask for my best friend to be any nicer, any more smart, any more thoughtful, any more of anything because she already has all the best characteristics a best friend could have!  Sometimes life can be hard, even on a twelve year old!  but there is always that one person that helps you get through all of the ups and downs in life!  That one person for me is Isabella!  I am so grateful to have her in my life as a best friend!  The funny thing is I know several Tisha's, several Maddie's, several Kate's, But only one Isabella and there only will be one Isabella!  I love her to death and I will stick by her side no matter what, whether she likes it or not!  Thanks Isabella so much for everything you have done for me!

Blood and Heart

Drawn by Isabella Ledo
Isabella here!  Well, this is our FIRST drawing that we are going to share with you guys!  Because of that reason, I felt it should sort of relate to what our blog is called and, therefore, I brought you this piece of work!  Definitely a more literal piece of work.  Paige and I are VERY excited about this blog and put a LOT of effort into how it should look and run.  It seriously took us almost 2 hours of staring at the ceiling in her room just to come up with the title, if you include the staring out the window, listening to music, and laughing hysterically!  What I was wondering was if you guys thought that maybe this drawing should be the picture to represent our blog or not.  What do you think?  We would appreciate comments/ suggestions!  Now this is the art work that people deserve to see, even though it was drawn by a 12 year old! enjoy the art work shown in the photograph! thanks everyone!

Also if you enjoy reading our blog and viewing our drawings, remember to become a follower!  please tell your friends, family, and even random people on the street or in the same room as you to visit our blog and become a follower!  Thanks to all!
Hey everyone I would like to announce that by later today or tomorrow the blog should be completely up and running, meaning we will be starting to post drawings that are now under the Pencil.  Remember to become a follower, comment on posts, and tell friends about this blog and have them do the same things we told you to do! Until tomorrow or later today Isabella and I will be drawing feverishly to bring the drawings that you guys deserve to see, to you!  Thanks everyone!
